Ah yes. It’s me!! And all my kids. Sadly. Brewer diet (thanks to Dr.Bradley) probably kept me and my kids alive but wasn’t enough to thrive( or rather wasn’t quite right- my DNA points to egg white & lactose intolerance big time; if I would have trusted my gut… sigh)… grateful for you sharing the metabolic truth kitty. 🙏🏻

Hi...I just wanted to say that this piece about being born hypothyroid is my entire life. I was born in 1969, long before anyone knew anything, and nearly every symptom you outline - super low birth weight, failure to latch, poor muscle tone (they called it retarded large muscle development), chronic illness, massive temperature and weight dysregulation (90 pounds at 4 years old)...plus ongoing environmental trauma since before birth? Then let's talk about a lifetime of 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s diet protocols...and the cocktail of medications for everything from simple hypothyroid to misdiagnosed bipolar...

I was introduced to the work of Broda Barnes and Ray Peat through Forefront Health and started a self-healing journey last year; that plus my yoga teacher's deep dive into nervous system healing has resulted in not instant transformation, but cellular healing. I started a nature-rooted wellness platform called Wild Squatch Wellness, and your work deeply echoes much of what I'm building. Just wanted to say thank you, and I’d love to stay connected and maybe even collaborate at some point.
